RESPECT FOR GUESTS

What should I wear?

We have no strict dress code in terms of formality - some wear shorts or jeans, while others wear slacks or a dress.  Very rarely, someone might show up in a suit or tie, but we're cool with that, too! The bottom line is that we care about the inside, so just come dressed as yourself!

Will my kids like it?

We can't make any promises - it depends a lot on your kids, right?  Seriously, though, we try REALLY hard to make sure kids love Wayfarer. Over 55% of our congregational attendence is made up of children under age 18, so they aren't the church of tomorrow, they're the church right now! We have nursery for ages 0-3, and a variety of programming for kids age 3-18. (For more information, check out our Kids and Youth pages, or search our Calendar to see what events are coming up for your child's age.)

How long is the service?

Our service usually runs about 75 minutes from start to finish. This can vary from week to week depending on content (and how late you choose to arrive), but we stick pretty close to this average.

Do you embarrass first-time guests?

We don't make you wear the "Visitor Sombrero" until the second visit! The truth is, we understand that it can feel strange the first time you check out a new place.  We promise to welcome you the same as everyone else, and give you an opportunity to soak things in without a ton of pressure.  You will be given a chance to fill out a guest card when you feel ready, but we won't hunt you down and harass you.
