WAYkids is a ministry to children 3 years old - 4th Grade. WAYkids focuses upon two different aspects of training up children to be followers of Christ: knowing God's Word and applying it to everyday life. We help our children know God’s Word by teaching it at a level they understand and by encouraging them in Scripture memorization. We help them apply it through studies, providing them a safe place to share their needs and prayer concerns, and encouraging positive peer relationships that continue long after Sunday morning.
WAYkids currently happens in two key venues:
1) Sunday School (age late 3 years - 4th grade) from 10:15-11:15am,
2) our Wednesday night gatherings for 3rd -4th graders, called W.O.W. (WAYkids On Wednesday) from 6:30-7:30pm.
These are great times of fun and learning which focus on the application of God’s Word to their daily lives. Trained, accountible leaders support the kids as they play games, enjoy snacks and crafts, build friendships, and mature in their faith.
Memorizing scripture is an important focus for the children of Wayfarer. CLICK HERE for the current list of memory verses.
